It seems the majority of us are most excited about The Dark Knight (yes, that is what I voted for). I am curious as to what Other movies people are more excited about? Indiana Jones? 10,000 BC? Candyland the Movie???

Anyways let me know, and I will try to think of another poll question for later…

  1. I voted for The Dark Knight. I almost voted other, because, as always, there’re alotta movies coming out I’m excited for, but I couldn’t decide which I’m most excited for. Here’re a few:

-Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay
    -Forgetting Sarah Marshall
    -The Pineapple Express
-Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
-Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
    -10,000 B.C.
    -Stop-Loss
-The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
    -21

There’s a movie coming out in April called Smart People. It kinda reminds me of Sideways. It has Dennis Quaid, Thomas Haden Church, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Ellen Page.

Another movie I’m excited for: Zack and Miri Make a Porno, the new Kevin Smith movie with Seth Rogen and Jason Mewes, but I have no idea when it comes out.

Bill Maher’s also coming out with a movie I really wanna see called Religulous with Larry Charles (Borat) as director.

Another movie I’ve heard about, not out until late summer, Adventureland, sounds pretty awesome. It’s directed by Greg Mottola (Superbad) and has Ryan Reynolds.

Some more “not out for a whiles”:
-Curious Case of Benjamin Button, directed by David Fincher (Fight Club, Se7en) with, surprise surprise, Brad Pitt.
-Burn After Reading, another movie with Brad Pitt as well as George Clooney and John Malkovich, directed by the Coen brothers.

There’s a new Bond movie coming out, I’m sure it’ll be good. There’s also another Mummy movie with Brendan Fraser, not too sure about that.

As for Iron-Man, I’m not too excited. I’m also not too excited for Speed Racer.

And, I’m not excited for The Incredible Hulk, which I’m kinda surprised you didn’t mention. I really like Ed Norton, though, so who knows…

also surprised you didn’t mention Never Back Down, an instant classic, right up there with Fast and the Furious and Step Up 2 The Streets.

    OH!!! I almost forgot!
    SEX AND THE CITY!!!!!!!! WHOOOOO!!!

  2. I too am excited for most of the movies, unfortunately since no one I know down here sees movies, I will only get to see a small percentage of them…

The Incredible Hulk movie could be really good (must better than the Eric Bana version), but it really only gets me excited about for one little thing. I’ve read somewhere that they plan on making Planet Hulk into a movie, or maybe it’s World War Hulk, whatever, both stories were freakin’ sweet.

The Iron Man movie gets me all sorts of excited. Mainly because Tony Stark is such in interesting character. He climbs into a suit that has the power to pretty much take down half of NYC, and he goes around saving the world, while most of the time drunk off his ass.

I want to see Speed Racer for two reasons, 1) can the W Brothers blow my mind like they did with the first Matrix and V for Vendetta? 2) Matthew Fox…mmmm. Insert gay joke here ___________________

It is tough to decide which movie excites me more, Step Up 2 or Never Back Down. Maybe they should have combined them into one 5 hour opus called Never StepUp, Never Backdown, and just put Jean Claude Van Damme and Sly Stallone, and throw Paris Hilton in, and bam we have ourselves the greatest (worst) movie ever.

  3. Hey now, don’t hate on Sly. I actually liked both Rocky Balboa and Rambo. He’s gotta be placed a shelf above Paris.

I think I anticipated the Dark Knight more before the trailer was released. It just didn’t seem that exciting to me; like if Batman wasn’t in it, it would just be generic action movie. Even the supposed climax of the trailer, the overturning tractor trailer, I found lame. It certainly didn’t have the same cache as things like the car slam from Mission Impossible 3, or the car flip from Die Hard 4. I am pretty stoked for Iron Man though.

The “others” I voted for referred to Dragonball, Hancock, and the last 10 minutes of The Happening. If done properly, Dragonball will the best thing ever. Thats thing, not just movie. We all know it won’t be though.

  4. Gideon…Would a Dragonball movie be 2 hours of everyone saying how in the next movie there would be a massive fight and nothing happening? Isn’t that what every episode is like?

Apparently the next preview for Batman will feature more Dark Knight and Harvey Dent…Supposedly it will be before 10,000 B.C. on March 7th.

  5. I’ll give Ironman and The Incredible Hulk a chance. You make ’em sound awesome, which I’m sure they are in comics, I’m just not sure about the movies.

As for Speed Racer, I’ve never seen the cartoon, so I don’t know anything about it. But with Matthew Fox, Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, Susan Surandon, John Goodman, The Wachowski Brothers… definitely worth giving a chance. But what’s with the names? Racer X? Speed? Trixie? Pops Racer? Mom Racer? haha

Speaking of Paris Hilton, I need to see The Hottie and the Nottie.

I think Paris Hilton is capable of winning the most Razzies of all time, or at least receiving the most nominations. I almost think that’s more impressive than Meryl Streep’s 14 nominations/2 wins and Katharine Hepburn’s 12 nominations/4 wins. Agree? Disagree?

  6. I think I have watched one episode of Speed Racer. I doubt that it really matters too much. I never read alot of Philosophy books before I saw the Matrix and I understood that just fine.

Apparently The Hottie has the lowest rating on IMDB, plus it made like something ridiculous like $26/screen. That’s great, she should just die already.

  7. I actually watched a lot of Speed Racer cartoons, and I’m still not all that excited about it. In my mind, it’s still just a movie about Nascar, except there’s no Ricky Bobby.
