Standing Brooms

Someone at work said something about being able to stand a broom up today because of some kind of planetary alignment or whatever.  I did not really think anything of it because most people are idiots.  I got home and looked on facebook and three people in a row had pictures of a broom standing up.

I decided to try it for myself.  And as it turns out, a broom will stand up.  I noticed something though and mentioned it to Lindsey:  the broom seemed to stand on it’s own because of the bristles spreading out and creating a base.  I also made a joke that it probably has something to do with an odd center of gravity.

As it turns out, I was pretty much right.  Check it out.

  1. At least I can understand why it was worse in the past, 500 years ago people would have accepted something like this as witchcraft. At least back then people were uneducated and tried to find a way to explain things. Now? People just accept whatever stupidity they here from someone. Much worse.

    1. On the subject of stupidity. *HEAR*. Stupidity they HEAR from someone. I’m assuming you already know the difference between hear and here unless you are, in fact, a complete idiot, but I’m extremely bored and came across your little standing broom rant on Facebook and I checked your site out.

Ps- I also tried the amazing standing broom trick and it turns out that if you round house kick it, it also flies across the room.
