Last week, Lindsey and I went to a free dinner at Off the Rak. Apparently, I signed up awhile back and was chosen. They made it seem like we were winning something, unfortunately we also had to sit through a lecture from a chiropractor.
The doctor did his whole presentation about how medicine does not fix the root problem and can cause more problems than they actually help. Yes, this is something I have said before, but I do not believe someone should stop taking their heart medication and rush out to get their back cracked.
At the end of the presentation, the doctor offered everyone a chance to come in for a free check up and scan. Lindsey signed up and had to fill out a form and mention what kind of problems she was happening. She noted that she has acid reflux and neck/shoulder pain.
This is a picture of her scan:
All those red bars mean that the nerves are blocking signals to certain areas. At least that was how I understood the whole explanation from the doctor at dinner. The doctor obviously did not give Lindsey a sample of his skills, instead she would have to come in and pay for those services.
Once she came home with this, I realized that I had made a huge mistake. I should have signed up too and made up a bunch of ailments to see if my scans would have shown red bars corresponding to my imaginary pain. If so, then we would know that this all a bunch of mumbo-jumbo.
Does anyone regularly see a chiropractor? According to this guy, he can get a person with MS off of their medication, and I honestly think he claimed to be able to cure feminine issues that can lead to infertility. Is your chiropractor a super-doctor? I would love to hear some stories.
My future sister-in-law is actually going to one of those witch doctor chiropractors that claims to be able to help with infertility. I don’t know if she’s getting her Fallopian tubes aligned or what. I’ll let you know if I get any crazy stories about it.
I really wish I would have tried it out, I should have made up some really insane phantom illness
