Lindsey and I took my mom and step-dad to the Curve game yesterday. They played the New Britain Rock Cats and it was a double-header. We did not stay for the second game though. Double-headers in the minors are a bit odd, they only play seven innings.
Before the game we went to Olive Garden for dinner. The food was pretty good, I had some chicken scampi, Lindsey had her normal ravioli. She also had some problems drinking her mango martini, the lemon garnish would not cooperate.
I love getting tickets to Curve games, $12 and you can get the best seats in the place. There have been times when I have gotten seats right behind home plate for that price. This time we sat on the third base side.
I was also a bit disappointed that Gregory Polanco did not play, since that was one of the main reasons I wanted to go. The Curve played okay minus one inning where they gave up a bunch of runs. Oh well, it was still a fun time.
They had a funny segment during the game. It was called Cowboy Monkey Rodeo. A monkey riding a dog came out and rounded up some goats. It was pretty damn funny. I tried to get a picture, but it was not that good.
After the game, Lindsey and I came home with some Corona Lights and had ourselves a little party on the porch. It was a pretty damn good time!
Here are some more of the pictures from our fun day!
