Fantasy Baseball Week Fourteen

This was a close match all week.  We kept switching places and then on Saturday my hitters decided to go almost hitless for the day.  Luckily, they stepped up on Sunday, while his team decided to be terrible.  Weird.  I was also losing strikeouts all week, but then on Sunday my pitchers accumulated twenty strikeouts and two wins.  They also picked up four saves.  Sunday was just a good day for my team.

My best hitter was Desmond Jennings (9/1/6/4/.414/.500).  That was a pretty awesome line.  Especially since I was about to trade him.  Bautista and Puig had mere mortal weeks hitting above .300 with only one home run each.  My next best player was Eric Hosmer (6/2/5/0/.360/.370).  If Hosmer continues being a good player, that would be a fantastic pick up.

Lance Lynn and Patrick Corbin had two starts each and they both racked up plenty of strikeouts and one win each.  Oddly though, Adam Wainwright was only able to strikeout three hitters.  Matt Cain…well he had a bad game:  2.1 innings and a 30.86 ERA.  Thanks Matt!  My relievers were all pretty good, picking up a bunch of saves.

Anibal Sanchez came back from the disabled list and picked up a win.  Hopefully he can go back to his high strikeout ways from early in the season.  I dropped Justin Wilson, in favor of Drew Smyly, but I think that may have been a mistake.  Also, I made fun of Elvis Andrus and said that he might be the new Drew Stubbs, but he decided to not be completely shitty this week.  Thanks Elvis!

Ryan tied last week, which allowed me to move closer to first place.  I am now 1.5 games behind him.  I actually take on Ryan this week, which could be a preview of the championship.  I won the last time we squared off and should win again.  I am now 95-59-14.
