Fantasy Baseball Week Eighteen

Congratulations Sean!  You beat me.  Not by much, but a win is a win.  It is annoying when pitchers perform well, but you do not get the wins.  Or you do not get saves.  I should have at least tied.

Eric Hosmer has been my best hitter the past few weeks and he did not disappoint again:  5/1/8/0/.414/.452.  In the past thirty days, Hosmer has a 14/3/16/2/.340/.372 line.  Yeah, he was a great pick-up from the waiver wire.  Jose Bautista was my best hitter for the week (6/2/3/0/.435/.536).  Elvis Andrus has been pretty good as well, probably knew I was hating him the past few weeks.  He stole five bases this week.  Normally that would be enough to win the SB category, but Sean had Leonys Martin, who stole seven bases.

I think Anibal Sanchez is over his injury.  In two starts he picked up one win and nineteen strikeouts with a 2.45 ERA.  He was one of the guys I thought should have had two wins.  With Bobby Parnell on the DL, it was hard to find a closer, so I now have a bunch of middle relievers.  Unfortunately, none of them picked up holds except for Aaron Crow.

Obviously I still am in second place.  I am now behind by seven games.  This week I take on Offord.  He is currently in seventh place and really could use a big win over me in order to move up.  As I said last week, there is a log jam from 3rd to 8th places.
