A Month of Comedy: Louis CK

Everyday this month I will be posting one of my favorite comedians.  There will be plenty of videos and a little bit about why I like them.  The videos are most likely NSFW.

Most of you were probably able to figure out who would be in my top two.  Louis CK is in my opinion the funniest comedian out there right now.  If you watch Talking Funny or some of this interviews about George Carlin, you can see that he is definitely someone that idolized the great comedian.  And it definitely shows up in his work, yet he has his own unique style.

He does the observational humor, you know, taking a seemingly normal or mundane instance and pointing out why it is funny.  Yet he does it with his own life.  Making fun of his children, his sex life, and just about anything else that strikes him as funny.

If you watch Louie, you get to see just how brilliant he can be.  You see his creative process and how he must test out jokes at small clubs.  Also, he finds a way to make his life seem so depressing on his show, yet when he is on stage, that is the only place he is truly at ease.  Sorry, kind of went off on tangent about the show.

This was probably my favorite part of seeing him in Cleveland:
