I am not too upset with my results this week considering everything that was going on. I tried my best to set my lineup everyday, but it was hard to look at results and see if I wanted to add or drop anyone.
My hitting was pretty good. I mean, 11 HRs in a week is always a nice thing. Normally 6 SBs would win that one for the week, but Don has plenty of guys who can swipe a bag here and there. Hanley Ramirez was my best hitter by far (4/2/6/1/.545/.583). That is the Ramirez that I traded for and hopefully this is the beginning of him going back to super-stud level. I also had a few other really good hitters: George Springer (9/3/7/0/.321/.424), Yasiel Puig (5/1/2/0/.333/.429), Xander Bogaerts (7/0/2/0/.367/.457), Devin Mesoraco (3 HRs), and Jose Altuve (3 SBs).
Obviously my pitching was a different story. Last week I did not start Adam Wainwright twice and he was phenomenal. This week I start him and he gets crushed. Corey Kluber had a nice week yet again, picking up a win and twelve strikeouts. I missed Zack Wheeler’s start, which would have given me the win for Wins and Strikeouts, but that would not have helped me escape a loss for the week.
The loss this week dropped me back to second place behind Pat. In the other division, Gideon overtook Ryan for third place and is only a half game behind me. My record is now 63-40-5. I take on Pat this week, which could be the biggest matchup of the season so far. Good luck Pat!
Lindsey destroyed her opponent 10-1-1. She is now 51-51-6. Finally at .500 and in seventh place. The War Puigs are marching!
