2014 Fantasy Baseball Week Twelve

I hate a tie!  It is the worst thing possible.  Okay, that might be a little extreme.  I guess a loss would be worse.

I feel like I type Jose Altuve’s name every week.  Is he one of the best players in the American League?  He leads the AL in batting average and stolen bases.  Since he plays for the Astros, he does not score many runs.  It is kind of a shame.  I wonder if the Astros will consider moving him at the deadline, I imagine some team would fork out a few prospects for him.  Anyways, he was my best hitter this week (3/0/3/2/.542/.593).  Hanley Ramirez (7/1/5/1/.400/.458), Starlin Castro (4/2/8/0/.346/.370), and Hunter Pence (5/2/3/0/.364/.391) were also pretty damn awesome.

Tanner Roark was added last week and he decided to have a great week for me.  He had two wins, only seven strikeouts, with a 1.74 ERA (although a 1.55 WHIP).  Greinke and Wainwright (sounds like a real estate firm) both had wins and nice games.  Just not getting the strikeouts from anyone.  I guess the Grilli for Archer trade to Dustin is looking bad since Grilli was demoted from closer and Chris Archer had a great week.  My relievers were okay, but Steve Cishek is still the standout.

This week I take on Imler, who is having a rough season.  I am still in second place and just 2.5 games behind Gideon.  Sorry Jason, but I will destroy you this week so I can move to first.  My record is 82-54-8.

Lindsey lost to Don 6-4 and she is now in 8th place with a 65-69-10 record.
