2016 Fantasy Baseball Week 3

Week 3This was a weird week. I was ahead basically the entire time and then over the weekend I fell behind. And luckily my team had a huge Sunday; which caused my average to jump ahead and I picked up enough strikeouts from relievers to win the week. I picked up Aaron Blair this week because I had a feeling. Sometimes when pitchers make their debut they end up doing well because the other team has no information about them (I call this the Brandon Cumpton Effect). Well, that did not really work out. He pitched alright, but nothing spectacular. I did drop a few guys like Hunter Strickland (picked up Jeanmar Gomez–which seems so weird that he is now a closer) and Julio Teheran.

Fantasy StudKris Bryant

This was a tough one since I had so many good players this week. Kris Bryant earns the distinction because of his ten RBIs to go along with six runs scored, two home runs, a .355 AVG, and a .394 OBP. Definitely needed him to start hitting the ball. The other guy I need to mention is Kenley Jansen, who picked up four saves with five strikeouts, and gave up zero runs.

Fantasy DudChris Archer

Chris Archer and Collin McHugh are both struggling. Archer decided to give up six runs in 4 1/3 innings. Yikes. I honestly do not know what to do with them at this point. Should I just skip a start or two and see if they turn it around. Would anyone be willing to trade for them?

League Results

James 10 Gideon 2
Offord 6 Jason 4
Ryan 8 Lindsey 3
Adam2 7 Dustin 4
Matt 6 Sean 5

I am still in first place overall with the victory over Pat. Adam2 leads the other division and is only a half game behind me. In our division, Offord is two behind me followed by Ryan another half back. Lindsey had a rough week and is now in 9th place and 8.5 back. This week I take on Jason, while Lindsey goes up against Offord.
