I have a feeling 2017 is going to be a great year. Tons of awesome movies, shows, books…damn. I am excited just thinking about it! Just kidding. I am actually pretty terrified that this year could be the one that ends in Nuclear Armageddon. Seriously, with everything happening in the world right now, it seems silly to be excited about a few movies or shows.
Fortunately, I do have something that brings me and Lindsey joy every single day. 2017 will obviously be an incredible year with Payton. So instead of focusing on all of the negative in the world or even the frivolous things, here are the things I am truly excited to see happen in 2017.
-Rolling over
-Crawling
-Saying mama/dada (please pick me, please pick me…)
-Laughing
-Walking
-Holding her head up
-Eating solid stuff
-Having some teeth
-Uses hands to hold stuff, like her pacifier
-Eye color (seriously, check this out)
Those are just some of the basic developmental things that will happen. What about the cool stuff?
-First Pirates game!
-First time spending an entire day with just me
-Traveling somewhere far away (like more than two hours in a car)
-Being outside without snow and freezing temperatures
-First time she laughs at something Samson does
-A bunch of holidays. I mean, we get to hit all of them with her. Including this big one today…GROUNDHOG DAY!!!!!
These first three weeks (almost four now) have flown by and I completely understand what people mean when they say to enjoy them because in the blink of an eye it seems like time has flown by. The first month of 2017 is already over. Where does the time go? And yet there is still so much to look forward to and experience for all of us.
