This show is truly coming together! I am trying to be cautiously optimistic, but in reality I am just freaking out and excited for it. We already learned that Rosamund Pike will be playing Moraine and it was announced today that we now have Rand, Perrin, Mat, Nynaeve, and Egwene.
This is Josha Stradowski who is playing Rand. The cool thing is that he looks basically how I envisioned him. Seriously, I thought Hayden Christensen (and if you look at the picture in the post I linked, they do look alike).
Next up we have Perrin…
Marcus Rutherford looks like a pretty big guy, I hope he puts on some more bulk (have him apprentice to a real blacksmith for a few months, serious method acting). Hopefully he can pull off the grumpy/annoyed at times Perrin, who is also sweet and shy around the ladies.
I do not know who Barney Harris is, but he better not mess this up. Mat was my favorite character (in fact, I thought I should play him when I did my casting…
Nynaeve will be brought to the screen by Zoë Robins. You can feel her tugging her braids just looking at that picture.
Madeleine Madden is playing Egwene and this is another perfect casting. She has the look and hopefully she can pull off the character growth we see from Egwene.
Yeah, I am totally excited for this show (maybe even more excited than the upcoming LOTR show on Amazon).
