Last Saturday was Payton’s party. We had it at the Johnstown YMCA pool and the theme was mermaids. She had a great time. I think everyone had fun, but honestly, it only matters if Payton did.
The day started off a little chaotic though. We got to the Y at 3:00, figuring that would give us an hour to set up. I went in a few weeks before and put down a deposit, then paid the final amount a few days prior to the party. I watched them right it all down. When I told them my name and what the event was though, they could not find anything about a party. The guy looked all over and then he asked me who I spoke with…I was like “you”, which made him laugh. They eventually said we could go on up and they would get it straightened out (they did find the paperwork at some point). Lindsey was getting mad, but I kept cool and things turned out alright (see people, sometimes you do not need to flip out and demand to see the manager, just let people work things out).
We ended up having a pretty fun weekend. Friday night we went to Disney on Ice and Payton got to meet Elsa & Anna before the show. She loved it and the entire show.
Since the weather was so nice, we decided to go to the zoo on Sunday. We still had our year-long family passes from last year, so it was probably our final free trip. Payton always loves going to the zoo, and it was definitely nice with the weather a little cooler since many of the animals were out and moving around.
It was a fun weekend. And now I want to leave you with one final thing…
