NASA’s InSight landed on Mars today and took it’s first picture of the planet. I doubt people can truly understand how extremely difficult it is landing something on Mars.
Aside from taking cool pictures of the planet, this lander has some cool tasks ahead of it. Apparently the objective is to discover Marsquakes (you know, like an earthquake, but on Mars) and to drill about 16 feet into the planet and get an idea of what the Martian interior is like. Very exciting stuff!
