Trump: Dishwashers, Wind, Toilets, and Bulbs

Donald Trump says plenty of dumb things. Recently though, he has tackled some odd issues that left many people scratching their heads.

Yep, Trump said that at one of his weird rallies. First of all, do you think Donald Trump has ever operated a dishwasher in his life? What is he talking about with these older dishwashers that took like five minutes? Only thing I can think of is the big industrial dishwashers we have in restaurants. Maybe he wandered into the kitchen of one of his hotels once and saw the dishwasher.

Also, do you really think women are coming up to him all the time to complain about dishwashers. Not to mention that inherent sexism in his comment. The issue women worry about? The dishwasher, since they should only be in the kitchen.

This is just more of his climate change is a hoax nonsense. What regulation is he lifting that will cause these machines to go back to a golden age of dishwasher? Make them not energy efficient? Will manufacturers even bother? I am sure Maytag, Samsung, and others sell them around the world, most countries are pushing for energy efficient appliances (right?). Does it make sense to have different models for different countries?

I never understood wind, I know windmills very much, I have studied it better than anybody. I know it is very expensive. They are made in China and Germany mostly, very few made here, almost none, but they are manufactured, tremendous — if you are into this — tremendous fumes and gases are spewing into the atmosphere. You know we have a world, right? So the world is tiny compared to the universe. So tremendous, tremendous amount of fumes and everything. You talk about the carbon footprint, fumes are spewing into the air, right spewing, whether it is China or Germany, is going into the air.

He knows windmills very much, although I think most people call them wind turbines, but whatever. Now he is upset about manufacturing causing pollution. That seems a little weird. He pulled out of the Paris Agreement because the rules would kill our manufacturing (wasn’t that his basic reason). His administration has constantly ended regulations that curb industries from harming the environment, but now we are to believe that he is pro-environment?

I do enjoy that he learned that the world is tiny compared to the universe. Not sure where he was going with that thought, but I doubt it would be introspection about his role in the universe and how we are all insignificant. He probably just meant that spewing chemicals into the air does not matter since the universe is big.

People are flushing toilets 10 times, 15 times, as opposed to once.

No one is flushing a toilet that many times. If you have to flush it that many times to get poop down, then you probably have a clog or a bad toilet. Buy a new one. Or check with your doctor and find out what the hell is going on with your body.

For those of you that are confused, I think he was referencing the newer low flush toilets. Older toilets would use like 3.5 gallons per flush, but newer toilets use much less. Now, the first batch of those toilets did suck. I remember living in an apartment with one and it always seemed to clog. But the new ones? They work great.

I say, ‘Why do I always look so orange?’ You know why: because of the new light. They’re terrible. You look terrible. They cost you many, many times more. Like four or five times more.

Yep, Trump hates LED bulbs because they make him look orange. It has nothing to do with the tanning bed. Also, Trump has no clue how much a light-bulb costs. Yes, the LED bulbs are more expensive, but they do last longer. If they are not lasting you longer, then you should probably have an electrician come out and look at some of your wiring. Could be time for an update. Just a guess.

It is funny to mock him for these comments, but there are real dangers. This just continues to push that divide between people who believe in climate change and those who do not. Now they look at things like energy efficient appliances as some government plot to take over the world (or whatever nonsense they think). Who cares if they use electricity/water and in the long run they save you money, as long as you can “own the libs” by wasting resources.

Sadly, I feel like we are in for four more years of this nonsense.
