Yep, you guessed it: people keep posting Never Forget or 9/11 stuff. Similar to the picture above. And yet, something tells me that people have actually forgotten 9/11. Allow me to remind you…
First of all, the terrorist attacks were carried out by al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden. The attackers were Saudi. Al-Qaeda is a Sunni terrorist organization, Iran is a Shia Muslim nation. I know most people probably think that stuff does not matter, but trust me, they are different and at the time of the attacks, Iran was not a fan of bin Laden and if I remember correctly, they were willing to help with finding him.
Second, we should probably never forget the aftermath of 9/11. We went to Afghanistan to defeat the Taliban and al-Qaeda. Then came Iraq. We were told that Iraq was connected to 9/11 and when it was proven they were not, then it turned into “weapons of mass destruction.” How did all of that work out for us and the region?
Do not listen to Mike Pence or anyone else try to say that Iran and 9/11 were connected. We do not need another 15-20 year war. Or if we do, just make sure you at least know the reasons behind it. Not the bullshit Trump and his people claim.
