I have not written about house stuff in awhile. One thing I want to do is paint all the trim. I did Payton’s room and it looks really good. I decided to do the trim in our room yesterday. Naturally nothing ever goes right for me.
I started by going to Lowe’s to buy a roller pad for my trim roller. I did not take the roller with me and naturally bought the wrong size. I needed 3″ and instead I grabbed a 4″. I had to run back to the store and exchange it.
The roller makes it so much easier and gives the trim a more uniform look. Unfortunately the trim in our room has quarter round along the base trim and it makes it more difficult to use the roller.
I finished up and I think it turned out nice. I ran into a few issues where the tape would not stick to the wall, but other than that, the trim itself looks good now.
The fun part was doing the door frame. The roller works for the most part, but there are so many corners and ridges…ugh.
The house is coming along…slowly, but surely.
