How Did I Do?–2020 Baseball Predictions

The season is over now (I figure when the awards are announced that is the official end). There are a few things I liked and disliked about this weird short season.

I enjoyed that it was shorter. I have mentioned before that the season needs to be shortened. Although, sixty games may be a little too much. I think 140 games would be perfect. I also liked the 7-inning double headers. I hope they keep that up. I am not a fan of the runner on base in extra innings though. I am not a fan of the expanded playoffs. I think eight is too many, six might be good.

Okay, so how did I do?

Yikes in the American League. Only 3 out of the 15 teams right. And I only picked the Twins to win their division. Not good at all. A little better in the National League: 4/15. I missed the entire East. I did pick the Pirates to finish last and I managed to do alright in the West. I picked the Dodgers to win the division and the Padres to finish second.

I did not factor in eight teams for the playoffs. I had the Dodgers playing an AL East team in the World Series, but I thought the Yankees would win it all. I did not pick any of the awards right and I was seven games over on the Pirates win total.

Hopefully next year will be a bit more normal and my predictions will not be so awful.
