Bathroom #1

One of the things we knew as soon as we moved into this house was that we wanted to update the master bathroom. It had a corner shower that was old and nasty. The fixtures looked like they were from the 70s and the wood paneling definitely screamed 80s.

We got a few estimates and decided on one of the contractors. Oh wait, did you think I did the work? HAHAHAHA, you  are funny! Look, I can install a ceiling fan and maybe hang a picture, but that is about as far as my skills go. Anyways, back to the story…they started work on the bathroom on Tuesday, March 23rd and finished it today. Twelve work days and the entire bathroom has transformed. Once the demolition was complete, they ran into some problems with the plumbing, which set things back a day, but at least the water issues are good now.

We had them take out the cabinet and put in a bigger shower. Unfortunately, I think this means I am losing the bathroom. Lindsey hated it so much, that she never used it, so I had my own personal bathroom. Well…now she loves it and has decided that it is her bathroom. I guess I will be sharing with the kids. Oh do not feel too bad for me, the other bathroom is being remodeled as well.

You can scroll through the images to take a look. I really like the mirror and light bar. Honestly, I am pleased with the whole thing. Lindsey picked out the paint and I dig it. Oddly enough, that was the first room she actually picked the color for in this house. Every other room, she sent me with an idea and I managed to not screw up. I did not want to take another chance.

One down…one to go.
