Payton’s Birthday Party

Yesterday was Payton’s birthday party. This year we had it at Koch Ceramics. It was a great place to have Payton and a bunch of her friends come to paint some pottery, which they got to take home when they were finished. Payton was super cute while painting her donkey piñata. She painted it very slowly in order to make it perfect (she was also talking and making sure her friends were painting theirs as well).

Lindsey decided to make it a Jasmine party (Payton is obsessed with her right now, so why not). As I said before, she loves the live action version more than the cartoon, which makes it hard to find stuff. Every year Lindsey says something like “I am not going overboard this year” and then every year she goes overboard. Oddly though, I was okay with it. I told Lindsey that Payton was so excited for this party and she wanted to help Lindsey pick stuff out or she would be excited when packages arrived with decorations. And honestly, Payton is five, how many years do you get with these types of parties? So yeah, I am for it. I still think it is silly to go this crazy with Logan’s party (he won’t even remember it).

The only bad part about the day was that when we arrived, we realized we forgot the diaper bag. We are potty training Logan, but we had extra undies and pants in the bag, as well as the portable seat for him. We tried to get him on the big potty, but he started freaking out. So I drove back to the house and got the bag. Fortunately Logan did not have an accident (nor did he go to the bathroom at all, pretty sure he held it for like two hours…impressive).

Thanks for everyone that came out to the party!
