Best of 2023: Favorite Podcast

There were plenty of great podcasts out there this year. Aside from my normal ones, like Pod Save America, Offline, Skeptoid, and Hardcore History, there were also some excellent miniseries or whatever we call them, such asThe Coldest Care in LaremieExposed: Cover-up at Columbia UniversityDreamtown: The Story of Adelanto, and the recent six-part Revisionist History breakdown of guns in America.

However, my favorite podcast this year has been Search Engine. PJ Vogt is back after leaving Reply All (it was a whole thing), and each episode he asks a question, and then investigates it. Sometimes they are weird like “should you drink the coffee on an airplane?” or “why can’t we just turn the empty offices into apartments?” And then some of the best reporting out there with his two-part look at why drug dealers put fentanyl in everything.

Search Engine has been one of those podcasts that I have to listen to as soon as it comes out. I highly recommend it!
