Digging a Hole

I was able to continue my patio project today. While digging, I hit something that was decidedly metal. I tried to pull it out of the ground and it did not budge. I had to excavate around the metal and keep pulling. I noticed that the object seemed to flair out and I immediately became excited. I thought maybe this was some ancient, magical sword. You know, I pull the sword from the ground and I become the King of Camelot. Or maybe I gain the powers of some Norse god.

After a good twenty minutes of digging, I finally managed to pull it free and to my disappointment, it was not a sword. Instead it looks like the base of a street sign. Maybe next time. I think I would make a pretty good king…
