A New Dishwasher

A few weeks ago our dishwasher started making weird noises. Dishes were not coming out clean and it sounded like it was going to die. I called a place here in Ebensburg, but they never returned my call. I left them two messages and never heard back. Very frustrating.

After a few more days, I called another place in Johnstown and they sent someone out right away to look at it. It was $90 for the first hour of the service call and the repairman said that there were three parts bad, each costing about $100. We decided to just get a new dishwasher.

We went to Lowe’s and picked out one we liked, a Samsung (we really like our washer & dryer, so might as well continue with the brand). They installed it the other day and we finally had a full load to give it a shot. Works great!

Here is what is cool (and some of you might laugh at me): the instruction manual shows you how to load the dishwasher. I never had one as a kid, so I honestly had no clue how it is supposed to be loaded. It is obviously pretty self explanatory, but still nice to learn a few new things. For example…

I never knew that you could put the glasses on that top piece. I did know about the wine stem holders, but not the cup shelf. How cool is that? You have no clue how many times the dishwasher was completely loaded with glasses and I had to either move some to the bottom (which is risky because they can break) or just hand wash a few. As you can tell, I am very excited.
