I thought the Guillermo del Toro Hellboy films were very good. I never read the comics, so honestly, I have no clue how faithful they were (although I never heard fans complain about the movies).
This looks like it will be a bit more bloody (obviously a redband trailer is NSFW) and violent. Maybe even tinged with some horror. David Harbour is one of the best things about Stranger Things and it looks like he will shine yet again.
