Easter was a little different this year. For those of you reading this in the future, you should probably Google Covid-19 and the pandemic of 2020. For everyone else, damn…that was some fun stuff!
Okay, we did have fun today. The kids woke up and found their baskets, then we had breakfast. It sucked not visiting family, but it was nice having the day at home. Work has been crazy and I was ready for a day off. When Logan was napping, we decorated eggs and then I hid some eggs outside. Once he was awake, the kids looked for them. Payton did alright, she walked right over a few and it is pretty obvious that she is not ready for me to hide them for real yet.
After that, the kids played outside with Lindsey and Samson while I made dinner. We went with meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and corn. It was my first at a meatloaf. It was okay, I have a few ideas on how I would improve it next time. Once we were done, Lindsey suggested we take Samson and the kids for a walk.
We actually went for a decent walk and had to cross a fairly busy street. On the way home, Lindsey dropped her phone in the middle of the street while pushing the stroller. I tried to grab it, but a car was coming and he swerved and ran it over. Luckily it did not break.
It was a good day. Payton ate probably a bit too much chocolate, but oh well, she had fun. Logan came close to walking a few times. Samson destroyed his new toy in like ten seconds. Everyone had fun! I even got the chance to hit golf balls in the yard for a few minutes. And Lindsey had some wine. Like I said, good times for all.
