2025 College Football Predictions: Mid-Atlantic Conference

There is plenty of talk about the MAC being finished as a conference. There are stories about the MWC looking to poach a few teams to fill out their ranks when some of their teams leave, and if they leave, I could see a few others bolting for C-USA. Personally, I feel like the MAC should be aggressive. Convince UConn to join, maybe look to grab Temple or Western Kentucky. Negotiate a TV deal where they feature even more Tuesday/Wednesday games (MACtion is fun!).

Sorry, that was a bit of a tangent.

I think there are four teams, who will probably beat each other, and have a mess in the standings: Ohio, Miami, Toledo, and Buffalo. The rest of the teams are mid-tier, and naturally you have the bottom feeders like Kent State. I look forward to watching Ohio, since Parker Navarro returns at QB, and he is a dangerous weapon. Buffalo brings back ten defensive starters, and a 1000+ yard rusher.

Hot Seat: Joe Moorhead has to show some improvement at Akron. The Zips have never been known for big seasons, but bringing in Moorhead was supposed to be a sign they were going in the right direction. He needs to live up to his end of the bargain. Not saying they have to win 8 games, but you know, some improvement would be nice.

New Face: Eddie George is the head coach at Bowling Green. Yes, that Eddie George. The great Ohio State running back, is now coaching at Bowling Green. He was at Tennessee State, and did well there. Could he turn BGSU into a perennial MAC power? Despite being a Buckeye, I always liked Eddie George.
