Decades Project: 1990s Music–Wu-Tang!

“Wu-Tang is for the children.” I think everyone remembers when ODB came on the stage at the Grammy Awards and interrupted Shawn Colvin to utter those now-famous words. I believe that was probably the first Grammy Awards I ever watched, I was pulling for Bob Dylan to win for Time Out of Mind. Weird the things we remember.

But come on, Wu-Tang Clan had some amazing songs in the 90s…

I also remember when this song premiered on MTV. It was like a cultural moment. And to top if off, it has some of the most memorable rap lines ever, such as…

“I bomb atomically, Socrates’ philosophies and hypotheses
Can’t define how I be droppin’ these mockeries
Lyrically perform armed robbery”

Fun fact: I have this comic. It came out in 1999, and I think issue zero was a preview included in Wizard Magazine if you had a subscription.
