Could any of you find Benin on a map? I will give you a hint, it is located in Africa. Does that help at all? Why would I even mention this country? I mean, not to sound like a dick, but what could my blog have to do with Benin? Well it turns out that in the past three years, there have been two visitors from Benin. That is pretty cool. Thank you Beninese people for your support! I wonder what posts they actually looked at?
To be honest, I know absolutely nothing about Benin. I knew where it was located (only because of my love of Sierra Leone and just a general geographical knowledge of that region of the world).
Unlike my post about Albania, this will not be making fun of a country or making jokes about it.
Here are five cool facts about Benin:
- There are over 10,000,000 people in Benin, so if two of them visited my blog, that is .000000012% of the population.
- The Ahosi were elite female soldiers in the Dahomey Kingdom.
- Benin is a huge cotton exporter.
- They are 42% Christian, with most of those being Catholic. This explains the high population growth numbers (which hurts the economic growth they have achieved).
- Benin has an awesome flag!
