2019 Fantasy Baseball Week 2

I had my doubts about whether or not I could pull this one off. I thought for sure Jose Altuve would make me regret trading him. He was insane last week: 6 HRs, 10 RBIs, and 8 R. He almost had more home runs than my entire team. Fortunately, the rest of Matt’s team was pretty bad, which helped me sneak by in a few categories.

Fantasy Player of the Week
I know you are thinking that Altuve must be the player of the week, but you would be wrong. Austin Meadows was crazy good last week. He hit .545 with a .630 OBP. He scored 6 R, hit 4 HRs, collected 12 RBIs, and stole a base. Not too bad for a guy who was picked up by Pat when the season started after Jason drafted him in the 19th round, then dropped him a few days later. I feel like most of us are regretting not drafting him…

Around the League
James 8 Offord 3
Lindsey 7 Ryan 5
Gideon 7 Jason 5
Pat 6 Adam2 5
Sean 7 Dustin 5

Sean and Dustin had a pretty epic battle of #1 vs. #2 with Sean coming out on top, unfortunately for him James beat the crap out of Offord, which vaulted him to first place.

Best Move
I finally decided three NA players was ridiculous. I dropped Nick Senzel and Dallas Keuchel. I picked up Daniel Vogelbach and Ryan Brasier. Both players contributed to my win this week.

The New Week
I take on Ryan this week. I jumped up to fifth place, while my opponent is in seventh. Lindsey (8th) looks to continue her winning ways against Offord (12th). Adam2 (6th) faces Matt (11th), while Gideon (9th) tries his luck against Sean (2nd). Pat is sitting at third and will test his team against Jason, who is tenth. The big matchup this week is between James (1st) and Dustin (4th).

And since Lindsey won, we get a music video from Bush (or someone covering a Bush song)…

Today is Boyce Avenue’s excellent cover of “Glycerine”
