Welcome to the worst mock draft out there! Worst is fairly subjective though, since even the experts only get about the same amount as me. When I looked at how the experts did, using a point system of 1 point for a correct pick, 1/2 point for right team/wrong number or right number/wrong team, most of the experts were around 4.5 points. I was at 3.5 points. With zero research last year. I can do better this year!
UGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
I finished this whole thing. I Had a pretty good draft. And then the Jets & Packers finalized the Aaron Rodgers deal. At first I did not think it would mess things up, but they flipped draft picks, which was only two picks, but it does change things. Now I need to redo a bunch of picks.
- Carolina Panthers–C.J. Stroud–QB–Ohio State
I have flipped this pick multiple times. Usually the first pick is easy, but not so much this year. I think the Panthers take Stroud over Young because of his size. I do not know if the Panthers are ready to try and build around a short quarterback. - Houston Texans–Bryce Young–QB–Alabama
Whichever QB the Panthers take, the Texans are taking the other one. I could see them being sneaky and taking someone else, but that is a big risk. - Tennessee Titans (Trade with Arizona Cardinals)–Anthony Richardson–QB–Florida
I have never predicted a trade before, and I am dipping my toes into the trade water. The Titans move up and take Richardson. - Indianapolis Colts–Will Anderson–Edge–Alabama
I know the Colts want a QB, but how can you pass up on Anderson for someone like Levis? Now if the Texans do something crazy like pass on a QB, then I could see the Colts taking Richardson (or whoever is available). - Seattle Seahawks–Jalen Carter–DT–Georgia
The Seahawks seem to be trying very hard to convince teams they are going in a different direction. But come on, they are never afraid to draft a player with issues. - Detroit Lions–Bijan Robinson–RB–Texas
I thought I was being clever with this pick, but then I saw a bunch of experts also taking Robinson here. I know RBs are not a popular early first round pick, but the Lions need a guy like this. - Las Vegas Raiders–Paris Johnson Jr.–OT–Ohio State
I would not be shocked if the Raiders took Levis or another QB if one is available. But I think if they want JimmyG to be successful, they may need to beef up the line. - Atlanta Falcons–Christian Gonzalez–CB–Oregon
- Chicago Bears–Broderick Jones–OT–Georgia
- Philadelphia Eagles–Myles Murphy–Edge–Clemson
- Arizona Cardinals (Trade with Tennessee Titans)–Tyree Wilson–Edge–Texas Tech
The Cardinals were one of the worst teams at getting to the quarterback last year. I think Wilson helps them get pressure. - Houston Texans–Quentin Johnson–WR–TCU
Is Johnson the best receiver in the draft? I am not sure, but he is a bigger receiver, and should be a nice target for whichever QB the Texans draft. - Green Bay Packers–Jaxon Smith-Njigba–WR–Ohio State
Originally I had the Jets taking an offensive lineman here, then the Patriots would take Jaxon. However, I think the Packers will take him now. This will probably piss off Aaron Rodgers, since the Packers did not draft a big time playmaker in the first round the last few years. Anyways, I think Smith-Njigba is the best receiver in the draft. - New England Patriots–Jordan Addison–WR–USC
Funny, I had the Steelers taking Addison, and I was complaining about it. The Patriots get a fantastic receiver, and that means a few more things shift around. - New York Jets–Peter Skoronski–OT–Northwestern
This was who I had the Jets taking at #13. My thought was they would want some more protection for Aaron Rodgers. They have the offensive weapons, just need to keep their old man QB safe. - Washington Commanders–Joey Porter Jr.–CB–Penn State
I want the Steelers to take JPJ, but Washington seems to like drafting Penn State guys, and they need a cornerback, so it just makes sense. - Pittsburgh Steelers–Devon Witherspoon–CB–Illinois
I am still not sure who the Steelers will take. I would like this pick. I would also like it if they drafted a big guy to plug up the middle and help them shut down the run. They made some nice moves in free agency, but the defense can always use more. - Detroit Lions–Bryan Bresee–DT–Clemson
I think they like loading up on defense. Initially I had Bresee going to the Chargers and the Lions taking Witherspoon. - Tampa Bay Buccaneers–Will Levis–QB–Kentucky
I feel like this is the right area to draft Levis, but I have a feeling I will be wrong. He will probably end up going #1. - Seattle Seahawks–Brian Branch–S–Alabama
- Los Angeles Chargers–Michael Mayer–TE–Notre Dame
- Baltimore Ravens–Nolan Smith–Edge–Georgia
- Minnesota Vikings–Zay Flowers–WR–Boston College
- Jacksonville Jaguars–Cam Smith–CB–South Carolina
- New York Giants–John Michael Schmitz–C–Minnesota
- Dallas Cowboys–Jahmyr Gibbs–RB–Alabama
- Buffalo Bills–Derick Hall–Edge–Mizzou
- Cincinnati Bengals–Luke Musgrave–TE–Oregon State
Cool, more weapons for Burrow. And he is used to wearing orange & black. - New Orleans Saints–Lukas Van Ness–Edge–Iowa
- Philadelphia Eagles–Kelee Ringo–CB–Georgia
- Kansas City Chiefs–Darnell Wright–OT–Tennessee
