Nothing like a big win during a week when everyone above me in the standings also had a big win. I mean, winning is always good, but damn, I could have used the boost. I also managed to hit so well despite getting zero production from my catcher. Why do I always have shitty catchers?
Fantasy Stud
I love a solid pickup. A few weeks ago I added Jorge Soler, and he has definitely panned out. Last week he hit .462 with a .611 OBP. He hit two home runs, scored three times, knocked in two, and stole a base. Offord pointed how weird of a career Soler has had. Constant ups and downs.
The Season
I did jump up in the standings a bit. I went from 8th to 5th. But I did not move up in my tiers. This week I take on Jason, who is in the sixth place, and only a game behind me. I am only a game behind Sean. I need another win. Ryan and Offord face off, not sure who I am rooting for in this one.
Okay, time to come down this musical journey with me. I was trying to come up with a band that would fit with Lasher. But I was also thinking about Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Then it hit me…The Clash! Hobie (Spider-Punk) is clearly inspired by The Clash and Sex Pistols (the art is definitely reminiscent of those old concert posters). So what better song than “The Guns of Brixton” to celebrate my victory over Lasher.
