Friday Five–Leinenkugel’s Beers

I was going to do a top five favorite beers, but I am not someone who drinks too many different types of beer. But as I thought about it, I realized that I do enjoy Leinenkugel’s different types of beers. Before we get to them, maybe a quick history of my beer preferences. When I started drinking (obviously at the age of 21), I drank Yuengling Lager. Then in college, my roommate Justin always drank Budweiser, so I had a period of drinking Bud. Oddly though, when I would go out with friends like Ryan or James, we would split pitchers, and it was easier just to get Miller Lite. Since then that has been my go to for cheap, light beer that I drink to get drunk. If we are out to eat, I like to order a cider. 

My number one is definitely the Juicy Peach. We buy this for our summer party, and we had plenty of fun drinking them in Savannah. Next up we have Summer Shandy, which was the first Leinenkugel I ever tried. It was the beer I had as my signature drink at our wedding. Berry Weiss is also delicious, but everytime I buy some, Lindsey ends up drinking it. I have only had the Vanilla Porter once, but it was tasty. I usually only like lighter beers, but for some reason I do enjoy a good Porter). And finally we have Grapefruit Shandy, which is shockingly good. It came in a variety pack, and at one of our get togethers, it was all that was left…so I decided to try it since everyone else was like “ewww, grapefruit!” I was shocked by how refreshing it was! I would never drink 22 of them, but one or two on a nice hot day is nice.
