Ritual of Ruin

I recently finished book seven of the King’s Dark Tidings series by Kel Kade. Ritual of Ruin continues the expansion of this world. Kade is setting up a massive battle with elves, dwarves, fae, dragons, and demons. At the center of this war is Rezkin, who continues to grow as a character, and has begun to understand that his training may have made him an elite weapon, but might have stunted his emotional growth. 

It is interesting that Kade continues to introduce more races and characters, but at the same time, this book really focused on Rezkin, and Wesson. Each character had their own battles to face. The rest of Rez’s friends were mostly checked in with, but not prominently featured. These last few books feel like Kade is moving the pieces to get everyone in place for a major battle.

I look forward to seeing where this series goes next.
