2020 NFL Draft

The Bengals took Joe Burrow with the first pick, which came to a surprise to absolutely no one in the world. I am fairly certain the Bengals sold more Burrow jerseys in the first minute after the draft than they sold Andy Dalton jerseys in nine seasons.

I think Burrow will be fine for the Bengals. I was impressed by him whenever I watched him. It may take a few seasons for the Bengals to get good with him since I do not think they are just a QB away from being a winner.

Personally, I think Justin Herbert was the most interesting QB in this draft. I know there are issues, but I think he looks the most NFL-ready. I think the Chargers have a good pick here.

The funny thing about this draft has been seeing them fill time and just try to draw out the drama. It was nice having a cancer kid come on and talk about the Browns or hearing from soldiers in Qatar. But did you notice how quick teams were sending in their picks? They could have wrapped this up in like thirty minutes.

Also, I wonder if some of these GMs have to deal with their wife like I do during a football/baseball draft? “Can you take Samson out?” What? I am trying to draft right now! “You said you would empty the dishwasher!” Honey, I am working right now! “How many picks until you are up? Well then, you have time to put the kids to bed.”

Maybe I will write more about the draft when it is over, but I just wanted to get out a few thoughts.
