2024 NFL Pick ‘Em Week 17 & College Football Playoff Predictions Round 2

I only managed seven correctly last week, but that was solid since Ryan only got four. Michael and Sean were the big winners with nine. My lead is six right now, so there is room to have a bad week, but not too much. 

Underdog Special: NO ONE AGAIN
I did not pick any underdogs this week, which is probably stupid. This week I will try another three leg parley: Bills, Eagles, and Chargers. Last week sucked since the Panthers decided to beat Arizona. I really could use a win here. 
Underdog Special Record: 5-11 (-$4.60)

Steelers Prediction: At least I was correct about the Steelers losing. Obviously I did not write this post before the game on Christmas, but I picked the Chiefs to win, so clearly I thought the Steelers would lose. Good job me!
Steelers Prediction Record: 9-6

I was 3-1 last week with my CFP predictions. Honestly, twelve teams are probably too many. The committee needs to drop the first round bye for conference champs. Just seed the twelve teams from top down. This week we should get some better games. As a reminder, the rankings are from my last college football rankings.

Fiesta Bowl
#2 Penn State Nittany Lions (12-2) vs. #9 Boise State Broncos (12-1)
State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona
Favorite: Penn State (-11.0)
O/U: 52.5
My Score Prediction: 31-13 Penn State
My Take: The Nittany Lions defense will be enough to stop Jeanty, and I think forcing them to pass will give PSU a chance to create turnovers again. I think the offense will be a little smoother this week against Boise State. Allar is going to have a big game, and yes this time it will be because of Tyler Warren.

Peach Bowl
#4 Texas Longhorns (12-2) vs. #8 Arizona State Sun Devils (11-2)
Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia
Favorite: Texas (-13.5)
O/U: 51.5
My Score Prediction: 28-6 Texas
My Take: This game is going to be too much for ASU. The Longhorns are legit, and they are going to steamroll the Sun Devils. 

Rose Bowl
#7 Ohio State Buckeyes (11-2) vs. #1 Oregon Ducks (13-0)
Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California
Favorite: Ohio State (-2.5)
O/U: 55.5
My Score Prediction: 35-32 Oregon
My Take: I am sorry Buckeye fans, but Ryan Day is going to cost you another big game. The Ducks offense will score easily, but as we saw with Penn State, they can give up points to the run. In the end it will come down to Howard vs. Gabriel. I give the Ducks the edge in that department.

Sugar Bowl
#5 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (12-1) vs. #3 Georgia Bulldogs (11-2)
Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana
Favorite: Georgia (-2.0)
O/U: 43.5
My Score Prediction: 23-17 Notre Dame
My Take: No Beck is going to be the difference in this game. The Irish defense is legit, and they will shut down Georgia’s offense.
