Damn, that was a completely messed up debate last night. President Trump came off as completely unhinged. Naturally the media is covering it as a debacle caused by both sides. But in reality…it was Trump. He interrupted Biden right from the beginning and constantly spit out lies. It was frustrating to watch, and honestly, I have no clue how Joe Biden held himself in check with just a few insults and the great “will you shut up, man?”
Honestly, when I have someone constantly interrupting me and trying to talk over me, it takes everything I have not to tell them to shut the fuck up! We all knew this was how Trump would behave, but it was even worse than imagined. I would not blame Biden if he backed out of the debates (or asked for mics to be turned off when it is not their turn to speak).
On a positive note, I noticed a few of my conservative friends being outraged by Trump, particularly when he failed to denounce white supremacists and the Proud Boys. A few of them have said they will be voting for the Libertarian candidate (Jo Jorgensen) and at least two of them stated they are voting for Joe Biden.
This was one of the Facebook exchanges that one of my conservative friends had with a friend. It scares me how Trumpers can twist these things. This person is confused on who asked the question. Wallace asked the question, Biden was just urging him to condemn them.
Trump did not handle it well. It was such a softball question and it should be easily knocked out of the park by any president person. “I hearby condemn the actions of any and all white supremacist groups…” See, not very hard.
Speaking of how crazy Trumpers can be…
In what world are these people living that they think Trump is an Alpha Male? I have mentioned my opinion about the alpha male thing before, but even if it were a true thing, why would anyone think that a crybaby like Trump is the alpha in the room? Because he talks over people? Because he yells? Is it because he likes to scream out lies? Ugh.
Look, Trumpers hate Wallace because of the interview where Wallace asked a few follow-up questions and made Trump look stupid. But Wallace did grill Biden, particularly about climate change and the economy. It was funny how Trump said something about having immaculate water and air. Wallace barely pushed him on it (I think he asked if Trump believes in man-made climate change). Yet when Biden laid out his plan (with like twenty thousand interuptions from Trump), Wallace wanted all sorts of detail.
