I had genius mode turned on last week…twelve picks! Not only was I the best, but it was by a fairly large margin since Mom & Jon were next with only nine. I moved into first place, but I am just one ahead of Adam, with Mom right on our heels. From there it is Jon, John, and Sean.
Underdog Special: Philadelphia Eagles (+7.0)
I think most people took the Chiefs last week, but sometimes you just need to take a safe bet. This week I am taking the Eagles. I know, they have not looked very good and the 49ers just came off a dominating win of the Giants, but I just think the Eagles need a win. I don’t think they get one here, but I think they keep it close. Maybe 17-13.
Underdog Record: 2-1
Steelers Pick: The Texans played better than I expected, but the Steelers were able to prevail in the end. No game this week due to COVID-19, so my record stays perfect.
Steelers Pick Record: 3-0
Worst Benching: Ryan decided to start Chase Claypool over Will Fuller V. If Chase catches a few of those targets, maybe he has enough to give Ryan the win. Really sucks when you have a receiver on the bench who would have given you the win.
Scoring Machine: Patrick Mahomes (71.10)–actually Dak was tops again, but Mahomes had like 50 of his points by halftime. It helped Lindsey crush Chanandler Bongs.
Best Moment of Making Me Look Dumb: Lindsey drafted Mahomes with the second pick. I made fun of her for not taking Saquon. Look how that worked out (and to be honest, McCaffrey being hurt is making her pick look even better right now).
Surprise Points: I think Gideon had to be fairly pleased with those 22.00 points from the Tampa Bay defense. If they score around projection, that is a very close matchup.
Why Bother: Scott, what are you doing? Saquon is hurt, stop starting him. Are you trying to repeat and wear the shirt again? Granted, you looked good, but c’mon man.

Still winless! Yay for me. It does not look like I will be picking up a win this week either, since I take on The Mega Powers. Great. I think the matchup to watch will be The Dirty Punts and Tank the Fish.
