2025 College Football Predictions: Mountain West Conference

This is Boise State’s conference until someone knocks them off. Even without Ashton Jeanty, the Broncos return sixteen starters. The MWC has their hands full. UNLV is probably the best bet to overcome them, even with a new head coach. San Jose State can score points, if the defense can do their part, they should be able to win some games.
San Diego State is the team to watch out for, since they have a strong returning defense. Same goes for Colorado State, they improve each year, and could be on the doorstep of being contender in this conference.
The most intriguing team is Hawaii. Micah Alejado takes over the QB duties, and he had a great game to end their season. They have strong receivers, and could this be the offense Timmy Chang was hoping for from his Rainbow Warriors?
Hot Seat: Plenty of turnover the past year, so I do not see too much happening with this group of coaches, especially as some of these teams prepare to move to the PAC-12. If Colorado State has a big season, Jay Norvell’s name could be mentioned for other jobs.
New Face: Two familiar faces take over programs in the MWC: Dan Mullen at UNLV and Bronco Mendenhall at Utah State. Mullen takes over a winning program, whereas Mendenhall is going into a rough situation.
