Best of 2024: Favorite Song

For some reason I kept thinking that I did not listen to much music this year. Or I should say, I did not listen to new music. But, when I started looking at my list of new songs, it turns out I listened to a bunch of great songs this year. It is funny, the music I listened to was a playlist called Best of 2023 Alternative. The kids actually like it, so we listen to it a bunch (Logan loves Noah Kahan, and they both really enjoy Milky Chance and AJR). It is funny, I was not listening to music because of podcasts and audiobooks, but now that the kids are older, I try not to listen to those things with them (I mean, who wants to listen to a book from some random part, and some of the podcasts can have some inappropriate jokes and language). So we now listen to more music, life is a circle.
Okay, so on to my list of favorite songs!
First up we have a few 90s bands that released some music this year:
There was also a few songs this summer that I could not escape.
And now, it is time for the countdown!

Funny story about this one. Payton came home one day and was humming it, but the way she was humming…it sounded like Nirvana “Heart-Shaped Box”, which Lindsey and I thought was weird. But after a few times of humming, I finally figured it out. Payton loves this song, and it really grows on you. Now I love it.

Facebook suggested Michael Marcagi (I am guessing he did a targeted ad campaign, and since Facebook knows everything about me, it worked!). I love this song, and I hope he hits it big.
