Decades Project: 1990s Movie–A Perfect World

I loved the movie Unforgiven, which I have mentioned a few times on this blog. That was the movie where I learned that Clint Eastwood was also a director, and when I found out that his next movie was called A Perfect World with Kevin Costner (who had some huge movies during this time: JFK, Dances With Wolves, Field of Dreams, Bull Durham…damn, that is an impressive run, and then you consider that Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves was in there as well). 

This movie is so good. I love the relationship between Butch and Phillip, but also the way Red acknowledges his past that probably led to Butch being the criminal he is. It is a very early 90s movie. I honestly wonder if Clint Eastwood was making it today if he would change things or keep it the way it was? Personally I think it is perfect the way it is, but who knows.
