Fun Few Days

This time of year is crazy. It feels like there is something going on every night. Last week was especially packed. Tuesday we had a t-ball game, Wednesday was swim class, Thursday was Logan’s last soccer. After work on Friday, Logan & I went for haircuts, then we came home and I cooked food on the grill. Once the kids were in bed, Lindsey and I played a dice game and drank some wine. I think I cut the grass somewhere in there and cleaned the gutters. Yeah, good times.

We were both off on Saturday. Payton had dance in the morning, then a t-ball game at 1:30. It was a rare Saturday off that was not a full weekend, so we wanted to do something. Yeah, Logan had other plans for us. He woke up and was acting a bit strange. He threw up a little bit of his breakfast. It was not much and it was mostly on the floor. Lindsey had to get Payton to dance and Logan came over to sit on my lap. He was crying and the next thing I know…more puke. All over my shirt. Ugh…

Lindsey grabbed him and I managed toss my clothes in the washing machine. I cleaned Logan up in the tub and he laid on the couch watching television. We debated on whether or not he should go to Payton’s t-ball game. Then he threw up again, this time on Lindsey. Yeah, that settled it. No game for him.

Payton and I went to the game, it was hot and after the game the kids played on the nearby playground. After that we got ice cream. We came home and Logan was still not feeling great and he ended up throwing up again, this time on the couch. It was gross and I had to take the cushions off the couch and take the covers off and wash them. They are a pain to put back on, but there was no way around it.

So yeah, we were definitely staying home. We went outside for awhile. Logan laid on the chair, while Payton played. Eventually she wanted to practice t-ball some more. So we hit from the tee for a bit. It paid off because at her next she totally remembered everything and hit the ball much better. But more importantly, she remembered the basics, like how and where to stand, proper way to hold the bat, and making a good swing. Normally at the games, I would have to position her and move her feet and hands around. This time she did it on her own and did a good job. Hopefully soon we can try taking a few pitches.

Fortunately the next day, Logan felt better. We had to go to his cousin’s baptism, but Logan and I skipped the church part and just went to the lunch. Figured it was safer that way, just in case he did still have some puke left, we would not want an accident at church.

So yeah, it has been an eventful few days.
