I always struggle with this category. Sometimes it is because I did not see that many movies, other years it is because I saw so many good ones. But the toughest thing is always deciding between best vs. favorite. This category more than any other ends up being the one I end up debating in my head…yeah, I am weird. So…this year, I will mention both. And since I like lists, I will give you my top ten.

1. The Green Knight
I bet you thought I would pick either the Matrix or Spider-Man. SM: NWM was definitely my favorite movie this year and I will probably watch it multiple times. But, The Green Knight was the best movie. I swear I wrote about my experience seeing the movie, but I guess not.
It was the first movie I saw in the theater since Tenet. It felt so great being back in a movie theater. I actually got popcorn and a drink. I then spilled the popcorn all over myself as I was sitting down and had to clean it up. No biggie since I was the only one there, but as I was cleaning up my mess, some folks came in and I looked like a weirdo. Oh and there is a reason I never get a drink…halfway through the movie I had to pee.
Anyways, the movie was great and it looked absolutely amazing. Also, it was the only movie I watched this year with a weird handjob. That always bumps a movie high on my list. I wonder if this movie will be nominated for any Oscars, I think it deserves it.
I definitely recommend seeing this movie.
