We are back for one of the biggest events in golf: Josh’s Major Pool!!! Join hundreds of other contestants (okay, last year we had like 10) in a competition to see who can pick the best players from each of the four majors.
The cost is $10 to join. I accept money via Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, or in-person transactions (that is not an app, that is where you actually see the person IRL and hand them money, I know, it is crazy!). Winner take all (for now…if it would happen to grow to a large number, then we could start paying out 2nd, 3rd, etc).
You pick six golfers for each major (you can pick the same ones each time if you would like, but those who did that, did not fare so well last year). The winner is whoever has the lowest total score after each major. If a golfer does not make the cut, you get the highest total score from that event. I did make a small rule change this year. Your score is now calculated based on your top five golfers, instead of all six. So the worst score is dropped. I figured this makes it more competitive, and having one person not make the cut does not completely ruin your chances (although, it seems like it should be easy to pick six golfers to make the cut, but in fact, it was fairly difficult…I think there may have been one or two events where someone had all six golfers make the cut).

PGA Championship: May 16-19–Valhalla Golf Club
U.S. Open: June 13-16–Pinehurst Resort & Golf Club #2
The Open Championship: July 18-21–Royal Troon Golf Club
