The Pirates traded Starling Marte to the Diamondbacks for two prospects. I have no clue if the deal is any good. I am frustrated by the fact that the Pirates are doing a salary dump on a guy who would earn $11.5 million this year. I am not sure I can deal with a few years of rebuilding.
Marte was fun to watch. Whether it was his first at-bat hitting a home run against Dallas Keuchel or showing off his outfield skills by faking a bobble to throw a runner out. I hope the Arizona fans and media appreciate him more than the ones in Pittsburgh.
