RIP Sean Burroughs

I saw the news last night that former MLB player Sean Burroughs passed away. He was only a month older than me. When I was a kid, I had a subscription to some baseball magazine/newspaper. It would have rankings of players who were still in high school, as well as in-depth coverage of the LLWS. So that was where I first heard of Sean Burroughs. I remember he pitched no-hitters to win the World Series, and it was fairly evident that he was the best kid in the country. It was cool to see him eventually make it to the majors. 

I am not going to lie, reading the news of his death kind of shook me. Someone my age, dying of cardiac arrest after coaching his kid’s game. Damn, that one hits close to home.
