Today is Payton’s seventh birthday. She was a little excited about her birthday. Yesterday while setting up the house for people to come over, she would not stop talking. Then she woke up at 4:00 a.m. and never went back to sleep. I think she came in our room every fifteen minutes to ask if we were getting up soon.
Why was she so excited? She and her friends were going to JCPenny Hair Salon to have their hair done. After they were done there, they all came back to the house, and we did cake & ice cream. I was afraid the blizzard would ruin everything, but the weather could not stop Payton and her friends.
I will give Lindsey credit, she finally managed to scale back one of these parties. I did not have to rearrange the living room. Only had to bring up one small table and a few chairs. There were decorations, but it was nothing excessive. We did a coffee and hot chocolate station again, and she had to have a bunch of toppings for the ice cream, but other than that…this was the easiest party to date.
Thanks to all the friends and family who braved the elements to spend the day with her!
And for those wondering…yes, I wore the shirt again.
