WTF MLB?

Major League Baseball is not having the best of times. It just seems like every news story that comes out this off-season is just awful.

First it started with MLB talking about getting rid of nearly 40 minor league teams. Fans were not thrilled about this idea. Hell, it is even to the point that members of Congress are speaking out against it since this affects communities in a big way.

Then we had the cheating scandal. The Astros cheated. It sounds like they had some in-depth systems like banging on trash cans, making noises, and possibly using buzzers. Oh, and maybe the Red Sox cheated as well. Who the hell knows. All we do know is that players were not punished (I guess they cooperated with the investigation).

The Red Sox and Dodgers made a big trade. The Red Sox, always known as one of the smaller market teams that cannot afford to keep superstars, decided to trade Mookie Betts to the Dodgers. They involved the Twins, but then shit fell through. The Dodgers and Red Sox had to rework the deal. Also, the Dodgers had to get rid of their entire farm system…oh wait, not they did not. I guess they will win now and still win in the future.

And to wrap things up, MLB decided to propose a new playoff format. They want to expand to seven teams and in a weird twist, they will give the teams with the best record a bye and the next best records will be allowed to choose their opponent. The baseball playoffs need fixed, but this is not the way to go.

Seriously MLB, just take a break, stay out of the news for awhile.
