As Iron Falls

I finished the fourth book in Bryce O’Connor’s series. As Iron Falls was good, but it was a bit predictable compared to the first three books. The story was still captivating and the action sequences are so much fun. I suppose there will be spoilers from here.

I love the idea of Raz leading a revolution. It just seemed like the sped through it. O’Connor just decides to fast-forward through all the good stuff. I guess he could have spent a little more time building up the liberation of his people.

My favorite part was actually the story arc of Syrah. O’Connor keeps what was done to her as something that constantly affects her. Her friendship with the first mate and then the rage she exhibits when her death is revealed…yeah, that was fairly powerful. I look forward to seeing how her character deals with the deaths she caused.

These are fun books, I look forward to the next one. My guess is Raz finally faces off against his cousin and Syrah meets an old friend and perhaps someone equal to her in power.
