OH DAMN! Thrawn, Ahsoka, lightsaber battles, plenty of Rebels stuff…yeah this trailer has everything.
I want to talk for a second about Baylon Skoll and Shin Hati. There seems to be some debate as to whether they are former Inquisitors or Sith. My guess is they are neither. Their blades are more orange than red. I wonder if they are the precursor to the Knights of Ren OR are they Sith wannabes. Hear me out for a second. Since the sequel trilogy was a bit of commentary about the fandom itself (Kylo Ren is the ultimate fanboy, he collects Vader stuff and wants to be like him so much that he wears a mask). Would Dave Filoni do something similar?
It would be cool if they were something different. I love the idea of Dark Jedi. It would be a nice arc if Baylon was a Jedi Knight who survived Order 66, but as he was on the run, he just grew frustrated and angry with the injustice of the galaxy. Maybe he decides to just use both sides of the Force, and not play the games of the Jedi or Sith.
Granted, it looks like he is trying to find Thrawn in order to bring back the Empire, so I guess that does not make sense. Maybe he and Shin will be sent from Exegol to help prepare the way for the Emperor to be resurrected, and they need Thrawn in order to rally the troops against the New Republic. Or maybe I should just wait for the show to come out…
