I thoroughly enjoyed the limited HBO series The Outsider. One of those shows that I was locked in while watching. No phone, no laptop, just total focus to what was happening on screen. I did not read the Stephen King book (I will mention that in a little bit), so it was great having no prior knowledge to what was happening (sorta).
I highly recommend checking out the show, it was fantastic. If you did watch it, then you should continue reading, but if you did not watch, then stop and go watch it right away.
Do you think Holly was scratched by El Cuco? I am not going to lie, I was a little let down by the final showdown with the monster. It never attacks them and we never really learn anything about it’s origin. Although, the part where Ralph goes back and smashes it with a rock was pretty great. Back to Holly though. She has that weird vision, then we see a scratch on her arm. Personally, I do not think she was infected by El Cuco, since I do not think it ever even came close to her. What do you think though?
Also, for Dark Tower fans (or fans of It), does El Cuco remind you of anything? Dandelo and Pennywise? When the show began and the weird suicides started happening, I immediately thought that we were dealing with a creature like them. You know, something that came from the Todash Darkness. I wonder if El Cuco and the Skin-Man are related at all as well? Something to ponder…
